Hi Lyubo,

I exported the diagram. When I opened the exported image (by default in Windows Photo app), the links/texts are not shown and the nodes are dull.

When I opened the same in Windows Paint app, it is better.

When I export from my Silverlight app, in both cases it is fine.

May I know why it behaves like this?

Regards,
Kannan

Can you attach the actual export image here?

Thanks,

Hi,

It appears there's an issue with the windows 10 photo app and not the diagram library. It can't properly handle images with odd sizes. You could try exporting images with even size in both dimensions or just use a different viewer application.

Hi Lyubo,

Smiley I don't think that is because of odd size. Even the links are not shown.

I've attached the similar diagram which is exported in silverlight diagram developed with mind fusion and opened in windows 10 app which looks fine.

Regards,
Kannan

The Internet is full of complains about that and we have actually verified it's from the odd size. Your silverlight image has even sizes in both dimensions, while the HTML export has odd sizes in both dimensions. Resizing the html export to even size from Paint and saving again makes it visible in Photos. Photos apparently applies some photo filter to make photos look better, and it's buggy for odd-sized images.

Hi Slavcho,

Thank you for that info. You mentioned that the silverlight diagram has even size whereas the html has odd sizes. Now I loaded the same diagram (which was created in our silverlight app) in html app. But still the same issue.

Kannan

You'll need to ensure the canvas' size in pixels is even before exporting. The size in logical units of Silverlight's diagram does not matter, it can easily map to a different number of pixels in Silverlight than in JavaScript.
