From the helpdesk I received the advise to use
DiagramView.JavaArguments="-Xmx512m"

Does this mean memory = 512Mb?
Is there any documentation of JavaArguments ?

That specifies the maximum memory size that JRE will allocate to the applet. You can use most of the java.exe arguments listed here in the JavaArguments property value:
