autoresize, zoom & anchorpoints

Hello,

i have several questions, perhaps there is a simple solution already in the Framework, so let me know.

I have my Diagram in a Scrollviewer.

1. Zoom Diagram with Scrollviewer -> Since i changed from DiagramView to Scrollviewer i can not zoom in / out.

2. I have AutoResize="RightAndDown", but the diagram does not change the size when i move a node to a border. The Node disappears while moving out of the border.
Further than this, i would like that the user can resize the diagram like resizing Langridheaders (drag/drop the border).
Update: Ah, i changed the diagram.width from 660 to 1320. Now i can increase it a little bit. I also set the maxwidth and maxheight higher. But i can't scroll to right side, just up and down.
Code
Select All
<ScrollViewer Height="Auto" Name="myDiagram" Width="Auto" Focusable="False">

3. A User should be able to drop a link when he is near the node, but not already on that node. Currently the User must drop the anchor on the node. Can i increase the anchorpointarea?

Hi,

1. Do you mean setting ZoomFactor does not work, or some event you were handling for zooming is no longer raised?

2. Is the diagram scrolled to its right and/or bottom borders when you are dragging the node off the visible area? If not, try also enabling AutoScroll.

Hi Stoyo,

thank you for your answers:

1. I used Scrollviewer.zoomfactor instead of diagram.zoomfactor. Now it's just fine.

2. Autoresize does work fine now, but my scrollbars of the scrollviewer does not recognize that the diagram gets bigger. When i zoom out i see that the diagram resizes very well.
If you don't have a quick solution how the diagram interacts well with the scrollviewer and my scrollbars are updated when the diagram gets bigger, i will ad an eventhandler or something....

One more question:
When i resize a Header, is it possible to autoresize the diagram? Now i have a header bigger than the diagram, which works but looks ugly.

Thank again for your help.

3. There is AutoSnapDistance property that does that in the Silverlight version of the control. We'll try to port it to WPF next week.

Could you email us a sample project that shows how the diagram gets bigger but not the scrollbars?

3. Please try the AutoSnapLinks and AutoSnapDistance properties in this version:

I hope that helps,

Hi Stoyo,

the AutoSnapLinks and AutoSnapDistance works great. So this will be in the next release?

Amosius

The problem with the autoresize is solved.
