my application uses FlowChartX to create UML table relationships and export to Visio with VisioExporter.

A Japanese customer needs to have the text in Japanese characters, but when the Visio 2002 opens .vdx file it doesn't show correct character, instead it shows 'dots'...

Here are images to see that it is displayed correctly in my app, not in Visio 2002 and in Visio 2007 (after manipulation):

and here are the original .vdx which doesn't displays Japanese characters not in 2002 and not in 2007 versions. But I found a "DocLangID" element in .vdx file with "1033" value. I checked on Microsoft's webiste and this is for English. So I changed it to 1041 for Japanese and now this new .vdx file works in Visio 2007, but still not in 2002.

Stoyan, did you receive the file, yesterday?

We have rebuilt the VisioExporter component as a Unicode dll, and now it seems to export Japanese characters correctly:

The change to Unicode might lead to some other issues though, and we haven't tested it extensively yet. Let me know if you find any problems with this version.
