Arrows without Links

How can I setup arrows so that they don't link two nodes? Besides the link function of the standard arrow I want to use it also as a simple line that the user can draw somewhere on the flowchart.

I thought I read something about this some time ago, but I couldn't find it anymore.

Set AllowUnconnectedArrows = true. That will let you draw unconnected arrows, but not free-form lines. If you need free-form drawing, take a look here:
