RemarksBy default an item dragged in a grouped view can be dropped only into a column associated with the original contact, location or task of the item. This behavior can be overridden by pressing a modifier key while dragging. That allows dropping the item into a column of a different contact, location or task, thus changing the original contact, location or task.
